In this method, a diamond seed is first placed inside a carbon piece. After that, the carbon is pressed to 1.5 million pounds per square inch with the help of a spilt-sphere press. A cubic press or belt press is also used for this process. Then the pressurized carbon is heated to 27000 F. This high pressure and heat slowly turn the carbon into diamond.

In this method also, a diamond seed is used for creating a diamond. The diamond seed is placed inside a chamber and then it is exposed to 14000 F. The sealed chamber is then filled with carbon-rich gases. These gases are subsequently ionized into plasma making use of a technology similar to microwaves. The molecular bond of the gas is broken down in this process, which allows pure carbon to attach to the seed.
